UCHANIE, GM. UCHANIE, POW. HRUBIESZOWSKI

The 1983 wooden St. Anthony's Chapel was erected on the site of a spring that local residents say has healing powers. The cult of St. Anthony in Uchanie dates back to the 16th century, when his painting by Mikolaj Danilowicz was brought here from Rome.

On top of the well with "miraculous water" is a wooden statue of St. Anthony. The chapel was built in 1982-1983 by Jozef Kunashchuk.
