ŁOPIENKA, GM. CISNA, POW. LESKI

A spring with "miraculous water", in the area of the defunct village of Lopienka. Village founded
in the 16th century, displaced in 1946-1947, buildings were demolished. The only surviving
building is a brick Greek Catholic church from 1757, renovated. Once
a place of pilgrimage. There was supposed to be a miraculous spring in the village, location unknown.
According to one version, it was located near the church, at the foot of the hill on which it stands. Surface surveys have failed to locate the spring. P. Pytka locates it at the foot of the hill
with the Orthodox church, next to an old oak tree.
