GOŚCIESZYN, GM. ROGOWO, POW. ŻNIŃSKI

An erratic boulder measuring 100 × 50 × 40 cm. Through the center of the stone runs a deep furrow with depressions created by attempts to break it. It is located in a small meadow, separated among arable land, a few hundred meters northeast of the parish cemetery. A wooden cross has been placed next to the boulder
. Until a dozen or so years ago, a path from the village of Cegielnia Mala, the so-called "kościelonka", now plowed, led past the stone.

According to local tradition, the furrow cutting through the stone is supposed to be the imprint of the wheel of St. Adalbert's wagon, which was traveling on a mission of Christianization. The coachman inadvertently drove on the boulder, but the cart did not overturn, but the stone miraculously became soft. One of the hollows in the crevice, is said to be the mark of a horse's hoof. A similar legend was recorded in nearby Strzelno.
