The chapel in the village of Bachury has had a turbulent history. It was built in 1596 at the source of the Luplanka River, which, according to local belief, has miraculous healing properties. The chapel was built by Orthodox people who refused to accept the union. At the spring lived a monk holding services. After several decades the chapel was burned down. In the 17th century, a second chapel was built in the forest, which was taken over by the Uniates a century later. In the 19th century the chapel returned to the Orthodox population, after which it burned down twice again in the 20th century and was rebuilt.
