The spring with miraculous water with healing properties, especially help is supposed to help with eye diseases. The cult of the place dates back to the modern period. In 1878 a brick chapel Greek Catholic thanksgiving shrine, founded by the pastor of the Greek Catholic parish in Komańcza for the miraculous healing of his sick daughter. According to the legend, the very sick girl, wandering in the woods experienced a revelation of the Mother of God and a miracle of recovery after washing herself with water from the miraculous spring. In time, more testimonies of healings appeared. The site hosted indulgent celebrations attended by the Lemko population and from Slovakia and Hungary. The cult collapsed after the displacement of the inhabitants in 1947. At the end of the 20th century the place was re-developed on the initiative of Father Jan Pipka of the Greek Catholic parish in Komańcza. The shrine was consecrated in 1999.
