KAŃKOWO (PORĘBA) GM. MAŁKINIA GÓRNA, POV. OSTROWSKI

A stone "with a footprint" on the "meadows of the village of Kanskovo", in a place called Poreba (stone destroyed, according to Maximilian Baruch taken for the construction of a house or railroad).

According to a local legend recorded in the late 19th century, the footprint was left by the Blessed Virgin Mary, who rested here with the baby Jesus. Another legend states that the Virgin Mary was walking through the mud here, came across this stone and left a trace of her foot.

Currently, no information about the boulder has survived among the local population.
