The history of the miracle site in the "Patienka" wilderness dates back to the 18th century. According to a local legend, during the plague, a figure of a woman with a baby in her arms appeared to children grazing cattle near the forest. She ordered the inhabitants of Folwarky to build a shrine in this place. After the construction began, the epidemic stopped, while a spring with water with miraculous healing properties gushed out at the site of the apparition. In 1710, a wooden Orthodox church was built near the miracle site. In 1929, the "miraculously revealed icon of the Crucified Christ" was placed there. Pationka became a place of numerous pilgrimages.
